Fashionpedia - The Ultimate Fashion Bible by Fashionary review

Imagine a list of fashion design technical terms that comes together with an organized yet eye pleasing illustration all packed in one small and mighty book. Fashion designers will definitely be overjoy to have this book. That's right.. this book I'm referring to is non other than Fashionpedia - The Ultimate Fashion Bible created by Fashionary.

With the help of an acquaintance of mine, I manage to borrow her copy of Fashionpedia to get an overall first impression of it.
PS: I'm not paid to do this review

"FASHIONPEDIA is a visual fashion dictionary covering all the technical terms from style to material to production with illustrations and infographics. It encompasses rich, extensive information and yet is so easy to read." - Fashionary.

The book itself feels quite solid as it is made with a black hard cover that has a woven label on it. Its neither heavy nor light to carry it around.
As I flip through the pages, I can definitely feel the pages are made at its best quality.
What really caught my eye was the solid orange colored pages at the side of the book. Like how often would you come across a book with a vivid colored side pages? They chose a really good color to grab people's attention though.
Another feature I like about this book is that they incorporate black and gold color fonts inside the book.
In terms of the quality of the book, I can assure you that it is top notch !

As for the content, I like how they really put in every single detail to it. Like they cover subjects from the history of fashion, types of garment/jewelries/textiles to makeup related details and fabric sourcing. Everything is so on point ! Even the illustration !
Like they say, it is easy to read and understand even for someone who is not pursuing fashion design.

I was hoping that they would include a small samples of each textile/fabrics so that readers will not only know what type of fabrics are there but also to know them by the sense of touch. I know it sounds ridiculous, considering the amount of cost the company have to spend on cutting out many different (cheap & mostly expensive) fabrics to put inside thousand copies of books just for other people's reference.

Although its well detailed and handy, some people might think nahhh its tad too expensive for a book and its something that I could Google with. Well, everyone has their own opinion. So what do you think?
Worth the money or a waste of money?
