#random thoughts: Customers are not always right.

Ya know, one thing I hate about my current (part-time waitress) job is the amount of fussy customers that I have to face every single day. Over requesting for stuff, fine I can handle that. But those that argue with us (staff) over petty issue are those that I couldn't tolerate.

Case 1
This family came to our shop and had lunch. The mother has long hair and she kept playing and combing her hair through with her fingers every.single.time even while she's eating. Towards the end of finishing her food she saw a hair on the plate, insisted that it was the kitchen staff's hair and still insisted on changing a new one. But the fact that is...the hair on the plate is actually long. Our kitchen staff are guys with short hairs and they are told to wear cap all the time for hygiene purpose. It's so obvious that the hair belongs to hers ! But who are we (the staff) in this kind of position to shoot her back? If we were to do that, I can bet she'll file a complaint to our HQ and we'll have to apologize to her eventhough we are right. In the end who wins? Obviously the customer.

Case 2
[This didn't happen in the shop but I can imagine it will happen one day.] Family with young kids dining in the shop. Kids roam/run around the shop while parents continue eating at their table. A Kid suddenly bang into something (glass object in the shop/ sharp ends of the table / maybe one of the waitress who is carrying food or drinks and spilled onto the child) , their parents blame the shop or maybe staff. But you see, if the parents themselves can properly discipline their child to NOT RUN AROUND in the shop and quietly sit down with their parents, this kinds of incidents won't happen. But you know, most parent's these days won't even bother about their kids (I've seen tons in the shop). So in the end, customer STILL WINS.

What I'm saying here is that in my point of view, customers are not always right. They're just taking advantage of their rights so that they could benefit in a way or 'WIN' in a situation, I mean who doesn't want to win in an argument, right? Sometimes I wonder, how can they be so thick-faced. Everybody makes mistakes so why can't they just admit it was their wrong doing?
Sigh.. I guess the amount of ego in them is too much till they couldn't admit that they are wrong.


-Random thoughts-

Not sure if it's the Monday blues that's kicking everyone in but today I've experience many weird customers while working. Among many cases, this has got to be one of the most WTF ones.

As you know I work in a secret recipe outlet, and today an uncle in his 40s (perhaps?) came in and brought a whole cake. Every cake there's this round red color board holding it with many secret recipe logo on it. And this man he requested to 'cover up' the logo of secret recipe (or to be exact the whole board). We were not able to do it because we have nothing to cover it up. OK fine. That uncle went and grab some doily paper and asked us to put it on top of the board and in the end we are not able to help him cause the logos still can be seen.

Ok you might wonder why would I wanna rant this kind of petty issue?

First of all.. why did he wanna cover up our logo?
I mean what is so damn wrong that you insist of covering up our local brand's logo? Are they ashamed of our local brand? Or is our board too damn ugly to serve their guest? If they think our board filled with our logo is too damn ugly to serve people. Then why many other customer can deal with it and they can't?
(Apparently he called his wife while we're helping to 'cover up' the board, so we suspect this might be the wife's doing. Probably he or his wife has too much ego that she has to do this kind of silly stuff.)

So we suspect that he wanna 'cheat'. By 'cheat' I mean, buying our cake, covering up our logo and claiming to whoever that they're serving that THEY MADE THE CAKE.

Seriously I felt that this doing is in a way CHEATING. It's like taking away other people's credit. Whether or not they're really covering up to do this shit it is utterly disrespectful and sorry to say I HATE PEOPLE LIKE THIS.

OK, maybe they're not claiming that THEY MADE THE CAKE. But still.. I find it unethical.


Working in F&B field, you will get tons of  fussy customers that request this and request that. One thing I find it bloody irritating or reasonably unfair is whenever somethings are not how the customer want it to be, BOOM ! they'll file a complain to the HQ no matter how small the issue is and no matter what you'll have to apologize. The worst part is.. CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT ! THE CUSTOMER ALWAYS HAVE TO WIN AN ARGUMENT. CUSTOMERS WILL NEVER ADMIT THEY'RE WRONG. We as staff, although sometimes we are right, but ended up being wrong.

1. The Script - Superheroes.
Is it me or the script just like to sing songs about hardships or determination? Just like Hall of fame. But it is good in a way that it motivates people.

2. Lorde - Yellow Flicker Beat
One of Hunger Games - the mockingjay part 1 soundtrack. Lorde has this unique style of music (indie perhaps?) that I couldn't help but to get addicted to it. Royals, Team, Tennis Court are also my favorites!


3. Maroon 5 - Animals
Maroon 5 are always seen topping the charts of every radio station in Malaysia. lol! And Yes I love Maroon 5 songs because of Adam Levine. The first time I listen to Animals, I literally repeated it for more than 10 times.

4. Tove lo - Habits
I call this the drunk song. Basically drunk emo people who just broke up would sing this kind of songs. But I'm happy and not in a drunk or post break-up state but lovin' this song.


5. Mr. Probz - Waves
The first time I listen to this song was at a bazaar, so thank goodness I have this app called Soundhound that could track the songs that is playing. If not, opportunity missed ! Apparently I prefer Robin Schulz remix version, cause I like it a little fast.

6. Sam Smith - Stay with me
OMG. Sam smith voice is a gift from heaven I swear ! Super obsessed with his voice, especially this song stay with me.

7. Nasty Nasty - Knock
Before I discover their song, Allkpop was spamming their teaser and it was rated as 19+ so I thought hmm.. surely it will be obscene and stuff like that so I didn't bother to watch or listen to their mv. Until donkey months later, I listen to the track and I fell in love with it. Its catchy though ! and there's no major obscene stuff going on. pfft !


8. Taylor Swift - Blank Space
Taylor Swift latest track Blank Space. As usual, it's all about love and relationships. But definitely much better than shake it off in my opinion.


9. Calvin Harris - Thinking about you
Yes ! Calvin Harris is my current addiction and I would play a list of his songs everyday ! Thinking about you is an old track but still got me playing it countless of times.


10. Winner - Empty
Another Kpop song that I love and you should definitely listen if you love kpop.

Wasn't really up-to-date with Kpop recently, cause I hate to say this but I guess I'm slowly losing interest in Kpop. Why? Well, lately Kpop songs are getting bad. Example Super Junior (my previously overly-obsessed with group) latest track Mamacita, no offense but wtf it is so bad. :(


11. Sam Smith - I'm not the only one
Haha, another Sam smith song that is worth listening to. ;)


12. Ed Sheeran - Don't
Everytime I listen to this song, I feel like dancing like the dude in the music video. He has impressive popping skills there !


13. Calvin Harris - Outside
Another collaboration with Ellie Goulding. It took some time for me to love this song. But I prefer I need your love.


14. Calvin Harris - Under Control
haha, it's Calvin Harris again. Another addictive track from him !


15. Calvin Harris - Blame
sorry but I just love his track so much, and this track he collaborate with John Newman the british dude ! OMG. I have a thing for British dudes. (Eg, Sam Smith, John Newman, Ed Sheeran, Calvin Harris)


16. Calvin Harris - Summer
I know summer is over in most of the countries but that doesn't stop me from listening to summer time songs since Malaysia is forever summer.

Naruto

Please excuse my lack of update as I just finish one assignment that is due this wednesday. I still have one more assignment left which is also due on wednesday but..heck it I'll just do it tomorrow.


I may not be a die hard anime/ manga fan. But when it comes to Naruto, I would actually spend my
time following up with the manga and also the anime.

You may be wondering why Naruto?
Well, probably because I grew up watching countless of repeated episodes of Naruto anime on TV when I was younger back then and somehow gotten to love it..
 I love it also mainly because of the theme (ninja).

As many of you know, Naruto manga has already 'ended' which means the freaking long ass brutal war between that damn Madara, Black Zetsu and Kaguya has already ended, oh, and not to mention the fight between naruto and sasuke as well.. All together it was a total of 700 chapters in 15 years ! I salute you Kishimoto !

But..! according to few sources, apparently the author Masashi Kishimoto will be releasing a new series during spring 2015. Not only that, The Last : Naruto the movie will also be released !

I'm kinda sad that the whole naruto story has ended. But let's be realistic, no manga will go on forever, it will have to end one day. And for Naruto, that day has finally came. If I was Misashi Kishimoto, I'll probably get bored of dragging Naruto's story for 15 years.

To sum up everything I wish to tell about my thoughts on Naruto.

1. I used to think Naruto was a total idiot but turns out I was totally wrong. He is god damn handsome when he became the Hokage.
2. I used to like Kiba (cause I think he's cool) until Kakashi become my bias and I thought Kakashi would eventually die ! (during the fight with Pain) but thank goodness he didn't.
3. Got shocked when Neji died. WTF?! WHY?! 
4. Madara can be a badass. But to me he is beyond badass, he was a total douchebag that I wish he could die ASAP.
5. The pairing in the ending is..kinda sucky. First, I thought the girl that was spying on Naruto's kid was Karin & Sasuke kid but NO it's Sakura & Sasuke, But why the glasses though? And another sucky pairing is Chouji and that.. hidden cloud village girl... BAD pairing ! And what's up with Ino and Sai's kid?! Sai's Pale skin with Ino's blond hair don't go well man. 
6. My favorite battle scene would be Sakura/Chiyo vs Sasori ; Naruto/Kakashi/Shikamaru vs Hidan & Kakuzu ; Sasuke vs Deidara ; Naruto vs Pain.
7. Would like to know more about all the Bijuu and Jinchuuriki's story.
8. I cried during the part where Naruto and Minato have to depart from each other after the war. 
9. I love how they have secondary elements like water + earth = wood ; fire + water = boil/steam, but not all of them are shown in manga. Like what does lightning + earth become?? 
10. The most useless character TO ME would be TenTen and not Sakura.
11. Favorite Akatsuki member would be Pain, Hidan, Konan, Deidara, Itachi.
12. Although it's not in the anime yet, but the fight with Kaguya is pretty interesting.

And the list still goes on, but I'm too tired to continue. I'll probably update it anyway.

PL's birthday

Sorry for the balloon pictures spam at the beginning ! PL's helium balloon was too attractive that I had to snap few pictures with it, haha. Apparently, I was sent to pick em' up and I gotta say it was an honour having to be given this important task of picking up balloons on behalf of Tim to give it to his girlfriend which is my BFF PL on her birthday.

So yeah, these balloons were gotten from Balloon Wonderland from 1 Utama. Hot-pink love-shape helium balloons of 6 cost around RM22.. plus the based.. RM6.

*Piece of advise, if the person in charge gives a long roll of newspaper to hold the balloons just REJECT it. Helium balloons would only come with that small metal ring at the bottom of the string to hold down the balloon. I don't see the point of tying it to a long roll of newspaper so that it could hold down better. I personally believe we are capable of holding a bunch of helium balloons together with it's string and metal ring thingi.. ONLY.

So we surprise PL at her house with balloons and presents. OH! and not to forget Tim's violin performance. haha! epic! Later that night, we dine in at Ben's at Publika and had dessert at Mad About Coco.

Not saying anything about Ben's cause.. I was so stupid to order the crispy duck confit spaghetti when I'm not really crazy about duck meat. But it was a recommended dish so I thought..why not try it? Turns out to be super oily and on the salty side with a bunch of which I presume is rocket salad/leaves on top of it. (I hate rocket salad that's why)

Later on, we went for Mad About Coco for dessert. Pricey but its nice compare to other chocolate dessert parlours.

By comparing both, I prefer the Tiramisu Ball which is something unique. The ball shape is made from white chocolate and inside of it is Tiramisu with chocolate. Pouring the chocolate sauce over it will melt the ball and it's... really chocolatey !

Whereas Mad About Coco, it's just a brownie which you pour the chocolate sauce they provide and the middle part will collapse. So yeah, just about that..

We spent most of the time catching up, gossiping, complaining and asking stuff regarding dating/relationship issues, haha typical girls.. But.. hearing them girls complaining about their small arguments in their relationship makes me wonder if I'm 'fortunate' to be still in the 'single train' to not have these kinds of problems. Whatever it is, they're happy with their significant other while I'm happy with mine right now as a single person :)
