A new waffle concept cafe has pop up in TTDI, if your a waffle person like me you'll definitely have to pay a visit to Chequers. I like how they name their cafe 'Chequers' since they're specialize in waffles.
*For pictures of the interior, check out eatdrinkkl.
So here's what we ordered.
[ Photo by my bff. ]
Moo Moo. Waffle sandwich with beef patty, cheddar cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato & BBQ sauce.
Down Home Benny. Waffle with poach egg (?) and bacon. For me it's almost similar to Egg Benedict.
*sorry my friend and I forgotten the name of this dish. It was Double decker..something? But it's really nice !
Sticky Stack. Waffle with wild berries, mango, passion fruit sorbet, and sprinkles of oats.
I ordered this one and I find the sauce a bit too much and the sorbet is sour (passion fruit kinda sour, not the spoiled sour).
Lastly, Deconstructed Tiramisu. 4 'strips' of waffles accompany with cream and a cup of espresso.
We asked the waiter "how do we eat this?"
He told us to spread the cream onto the waffle and pour the espresso using the spoon given on to it depending on how strong you want the taste to be.
Would I come back for this? Definitely ! Since my gang and I loveeeee waffle. Overall the food is good, worth trying. But since it's newly opened, I'm sure that there will be lots of people heading over to try out so be expected to have slow service (yeah we waited quite long for our food to come). But it's worth the wait.
