Not sure if it's the Monday blues that's kicking everyone in but today I've experience many weird customers while working. Among many cases, this has got to be one of the most WTF ones.

As you know I work in a secret recipe outlet, and today an uncle in his 40s (perhaps?) came in and brought a whole cake. Every cake there's this round red color board holding it with many secret recipe logo on it. And this man he requested to 'cover up' the logo of secret recipe (or to be exact the whole board). We were not able to do it because we have nothing to cover it up. OK fine. That uncle went and grab some doily paper and asked us to put it on top of the board and in the end we are not able to help him cause the logos still can be seen.

Ok you might wonder why would I wanna rant this kind of petty issue?

First of all.. why did he wanna cover up our logo?
I mean what is so damn wrong that you insist of covering up our local brand's logo? Are they ashamed of our local brand? Or is our board too damn ugly to serve their guest? If they think our board filled with our logo is too damn ugly to serve people. Then why many other customer can deal with it and they can't?
(Apparently he called his wife while we're helping to 'cover up' the board, so we suspect this might be the wife's doing. Probably he or his wife has too much ego that she has to do this kind of silly stuff.)

So we suspect that he wanna 'cheat'. By 'cheat' I mean, buying our cake, covering up our logo and claiming to whoever that they're serving that THEY MADE THE CAKE.

Seriously I felt that this doing is in a way CHEATING. It's like taking away other people's credit. Whether or not they're really covering up to do this shit it is utterly disrespectful and sorry to say I HATE PEOPLE LIKE THIS.

OK, maybe they're not claiming that THEY MADE THE CAKE. But still.. I find it unethical.


Working in F&B field, you will get tons of  fussy customers that request this and request that. One thing I find it bloody irritating or reasonably unfair is whenever somethings are not how the customer want it to be, BOOM ! they'll file a complain to the HQ no matter how small the issue is and no matter what you'll have to apologize. The worst part is.. CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT ! THE CUSTOMER ALWAYS HAVE TO WIN AN ARGUMENT. CUSTOMERS WILL NEVER ADMIT THEY'RE WRONG. We as staff, although sometimes we are right, but ended up being wrong.
