Day 2
Penang Hill -> Kek Lok Si -> Batu Ferringgi Beach
Penang Hill ~
We were quite lucky when we went up Penang Hill.
It was drizzling around 11am to 12pm
so it's kinda misty up there and cooling,
if not it'll be scorching hot.
therefore.. you'll see me holding an umbrella in one of the picture.. like an Ah Sum (middle age women)
Day 2 #OOTD

The view from up here is no joke !

Asam Laksa for lunch at a shop near Kek Lok Si
Kek Lok Si ~
It was bloody hot by the time we went there
It was around 3pm - 4pm?
Before we reach Kek Lok Si, we have to walk passed a long up hill route which has shops that are sheltered.
Eventhough it's sheltered, it's still bloody hot.
To go up to see the 99ft bronze statue of Guan Yin, you have to take a lift(?) up.
and yes.. you have to pay and they closed before 6pm if I'm not mistaken.
The city view from Kek Lok Si
Oh! and there's alot of chinese zodiac statue for you to take picture with!
clearly mine is a Dog.
Visitors get to make a wish at the temple too!
Paying Rm 1 for one of any kind of wishing ribbon and write down your name on it and hand it on the wishing tree.
Different color of wishing ribbon signify different stuff!
I took blue one which signify good results for exam (something like that)
and red one is to wish family good health
Ice Kacang to cool ourselves down after walking around Kek Lok Si
5.30pm already !
And we're off to Batu Ferringhi to catch the sunset!
Batu Ferringhi ~
We were just in time for the sun to set !
I swear that the sunset is beautiful ! No edits or filters !
Spamming photos now.
Chilling on the hammock
Jump shot with PL
Took some pictures with Rocky :)
Beautiful Sunset
In case you're wondering.. we went to the beach by 'passing by' Shang-ri La Rasa Sayang Resort & Spa. ;)
After the sunset, we walk around the night market in Batu Ferringhi and eat dinner there at a nearby hawker centre.
Naan and tandoori chicken
Bak kut teh
Pancake drizzle with chocolate with ice cream for dessert !
Went back Hotel to freshen up and around 11.30pm we head off to ThreeSixty Skybar at Bayview Hotel.
It's actually a rooftop bar with magnificent view of the city.
I have more photos from day 3 to post up so I'll not post much on Skybar.
Just me with the view. :)
Went back to the hotel around 2.30am.
Play cards (Monopoly Deal) and off to sleep.
Day 3
You haven't complete your Penang journey without having to see their street art !
That's right.. it's the 'in' thing right now in Malaysia..
Murals..Murals everywhere
So we head off to see the street art by renting a bike.
We rent a bike cause all the street art are scattered everywhere in the city.
You can find shops renting single bike, couple bike or even scooter (that last for 2hrs only) at Lebuh Armenian where the street art of 2 kids on a bike is located at.
Here's the map taken from google.
Some street art may have changed or even faded, scraped or washed off so don't be surprise if you can't find them even if you're at the right place.
here comes my photo spam !
Stopped halfway for curry mee for lunch !
Next stop before we head for dinner.
Penang Road Famous Cendol.
Honestly speaking, it wasn't that super nice to shout about..
But it was okay..
As for dinner, we head to My Voice Cafe & Studio
Address: C-5-1, Lorong Bayan Indah 3 (Bay Avenue), 11900, Bayan Lepas, Penang.
Tried their famous Big Bowl Ramen
and yup.. it's seriously big
Must take picture !
This bowl is for 3 pax.
So... yup
that sums up my Penang trip with my besties :)
