Rachel Lim: New kicks. Nike Zoom Structure+ 16 running shoe

Recently I just got back to jogging after 2 years of not exercising? *GASP*
But before this I would usually go for volleyball training almost every week during my high school days..

So this what's happen when one day I was going out for morning jog with my gang..

My shoe gave way. :(

This shoe has been with me for 4 years.

Surprisingly Power sport shoe by Bata is able to last more than 2 years.

So yeah, my shoe was like this, on both sides.

So I have no choice but to wear my mom's one.

Which is also Power by Bata.

But her shoes was not light ! It was really heavy for a sport shoe !

Whenever I run there will be this heavy footstep sound that goes 'tuk tuk' and it's kinda noisy.

Hate that so much that I was determine to find a much better running shoe !

Went around a few sport shop to find a good running shoe.

From Royal Sporting House, Al-ikhsan, Bata, to this sport shop that is very near my workplace, Sports Empire.

I didn't went into Nike or Addidas store cause I knew their shoe price are freaking expensive..

Plus ! I wanted a specific color !

Pink, Grey, Purple, Black are too mainstream

So I was eyeing on shoe that is...

mint color or anything close to mint color like this !

I found this on Instagram and I saw similar one in Pinterest.

Yes.. I know that this type of color can get dirty easily but..

OMG it's too beautiful to resist !

But when I browse al-ikhsan at Tesco near Ikea.. their color kinda sucks.. and so dull looking..

So, when I was looking at Sport Empire.. I finally found what I was looking for.. :')

May I present you.. this is the Nike Zoom Structure+ 16 Running Shoe

Apparently this model was release like 1 year plus ago in US.

So it's actually kinda like an obsolete model.

But OMGGGGGG the color ~ :')

And I was lucky !

So happen that this shop has 50% off discount for everything it's selling!

Original price - RM429

After Discount - RM214.50

For a Nike shoe.. it's quite reasonable!

The malay guy salesperson was very good too!

He was explaining which shoe is good and no good to me and my dad.

According to him, New balance gives better performance whereas Nike is more for it's design.

Not sure about addidas though..

So my dad end up getting one pair too!

When I was trying out my pair of shoe.

It is super comfortable and it has arch support.

I can really feel the arch support.. which is way better than my mom's running shoe.

It also has dynamic support.

According to Nike, "Dynamic Support in the shoe's midsole provides the stability you need in an ultra-smooth ride without the added weight or stiffness of a traditional medial post"

"Dynamic Support features more soft foam on the lateral side for cushioning and more firm foam on the medial side for support."

So tadah ~ ! Here's my first Nike shoe :')
