Went back to hometown to celebrate for about a week. Its always fun to go back to your hometown to celebrate together with your family and relatives. The more the merrier right? :)
Anyway.. I always celebrate with my mother's side relatives as I'm not close with my dad's side.. (they hardly communicate IDON'TKNOWWHY)
So chinese new year is all about getting together with family and friends , go visit each others houses (拜年 bai nian) and also EATING AND EATING AND EATING. Yes.. I think i eat like 4 meals a day back in my hometown.. Heavy BREAKFAST, LUNCH, Heavy DINNER, and SUPPER.. Obviously I gained some weight cause I don't usually eat so much -____-
But I rather indulge for CNY since there's soooo many cookies and my favorite food around !
Yeap.. just by looking at this you will drool !
clockwise : finger cookies (freaky shit ._.) , keropok with acar, momo cookies, layer cakes, and my aunt's sarawak laksa.
This is another laksa brought back from a hawker stall
I ate a total of 4 sarawak laksa from different stalls and people within a week .__.
My ootd on one of the night :)
Fire crackers to play with.
Yee Sang.
A must for every CNY !
So happen it's also my cousin's birthday.
Green Tea sponge cake with red bean.
I'm a green tea fan but honestly this is the first time I don't like a green tea sponge cake
maybe cause there's red bean in it..
And.. what's Chinese New Year eve without
FIRE CRACKER and FIRE WORKS :D
I'm able to watch free fireworks display just opposite my uncle's house
hahahahha!
it's so damn huge too !
Non stop fire works..
in front of the house..
next to the house..
behind the house..
just everywhere around the house..
this was the neighbour's fire works display
damn nice I tell you !
On the 2nd day of CNY I recorded a 7min ass long fireworks done by a neighbour near by my uncle's house.
Can't upload it cause it's taking too long.. -__-
Kolo mee. For 3rd day of CNY
Went to orchid garden to kill time
since it's free entry and to show my HK cousin around.
*Spam orchid pictures*
HAHA selfie x)
After that we headed to Damai.
Used to be my childhood vacation destination.
now it's so freaking rundown -___-
but still it's OK..not that dirty.
sunny day~ :)
on the way back, we brought some EXTREMELY FRESHLY CATCH CLAMS AND CRAB
I can't remember how much it cost but it's effin' cheap !
at home, the maid cooked it deliciously and OMG.. my whole family were enjoying the crab.
We brought like.. 10 crabs to share. LOL!
SUPER DUPER YUMMY
As for Ang Pau ( Red Packets ) hmm...I've got plenty .. hehe..
I remember last time, kids used to boast about how much ang pau money they've got (eg RM400+ -___- ) to me while I had like.. less than RM150. LOL! I'm always happy with what I had. Never expect too much.
Well, that's the shortest summary of my CNY !
CIAO!
