Foodie Review : Maiu Japanese Buffet Restaurant @ Damansara Perdana

So much to update but don't know where to start ! :O
should I do a foodie review or product review?

I shall do foodie review for this post :)

Maiu Japanese Buffet Restaurant @ Damansara Perdana

I get to know this place from my brother and it's my 2nd visit there.
This is more of a japanese a la carte buffet.
Not those typical buffet where you can walk around and find nice fresh sashimi or sushi placed on the buffet table.

Located at The Place, this japanese buffet restaurant attracts mainly youngsters as their price are reasonable for those who crave for japanese buffet but in a tight budget.

In there, you'll be given a piece of paper (which is your ordering form) to write down what you want to order.

Apparently, the choice are limited.
There's sashimi, sushi, maki, salad, rolls, grilled salmon, chicken teriyaki, tempura, cha soba, katsu don, sukiyaki and others.
So I suggest that whoever is craving for mainly sushi or sashimi could go for it. Anyway, you can eat all you can. Just watch out for wastage as they can charge you heavily. Unless you really can't finish and you'll feel guilty for wasting it, I suggest you bring tupperware to tapao/bungkus/take away.. DISCRETELY..
Even if you leave it, it'll probably end up in the dustbin. WASTED.

OH! and they serve Wasabi ice cream. I'm not a fan of wasabi so I'm not sure about the taste. But if your adventures, go for it! :)

I didn't take many pictures as I was hungry like mad.
Just took some food to give you a rough idea about their dish.
[taken by me with my phone - that's why the resolution is low, sorry about that !]
[Edited using VSCO cam due to low light]

Cha Soba (cold soba)
Chicken teriyaki
Can't remember what is this but it was a cold dish.
Taste weird though..

Grilled Salmon
Sashimi (salmon,tuna,butterfish)
The tuna that day wasn't fresh.
very disappointing
But my first visit was okay.
Some chicken kebab..

As for the sushi and maki.. we waited for 45min for these to come -_-
But in between we ate the rest of the food , so this came the very last and we were full.
They're not bad, but make sure you keep track on which food that have not arrive yet and keep on checking with the waiter/waitress.

Mouth watering right? ;)

Overall, I think this restaurant is okay if you are just craving for sushi and sashimi as you can eat all the sashimi or sushi you can!
The other dishes are either not nice or average only.

Their price are around RM45++ for adults but I think they increase the price already.

Rating :
Food quality and freshness : 5/10
(It all depend, like the sashimi I ordered is not fresh on my 2nd visit. But was okay in my first visit)

Service : 3/10
(very poor service.. waited 45min for my maki and sushi -.-)

Environment : 7/10
Decent environment, but when it's full house.. it'll be very noisy

Food choice : 5/10
Food and beverage choice are limited. Hope to see more variety.

12 May 2014

Less than a month more to go before I head off to internship.
I haven't got a place yet.. apparently.. no firm/company has replied me yet.
Guess my resume is not good enough to impress them.. =/

These few days.. my bitch mode (PMS) seems to last me quite a while.. only today its gone.. whew..

so one of those gloomy days.. I went shopping to ease myself a little.. I'm proud to say I cover a few shopping malls within a day. Lol !

Timesquare, Avenue K (a mall next to KLCC lrt station) and NU sentral (a new mall next to KL sentral)

Unfortunately there are a few shops that are open at NU sentral and Avenue K. I went Avenue K to check out their H&M and cotton on. Apparently, I prefer the H&M there..they offer more choice. So.. what did I bring home from shopping this time?

[Taken using Nikon D5100]

I gotta say, these stuff were over my shopping budget. LOL!
But I freaking love em'

My most satisfied purchase was the SKORT ! :D
It's a combi of skirt + short, therefore they called it a Skort.
I saw some Insta-shops selling these origami skort and I almost wanted to buy one cause it looks.. cool ! HAHA! But then I thought nah... I won't look
good in these because it's better on tall girls with slim legs.

So I told myself, if I can find any cheap skorts in timesquare I'll get em'
Then I came across 2 shop selling them at Little Taiwan area.
But I got mine from this shop called Honey BiBi for Rm28, size S (the other shop is selling for RM29 plus there's only size M and L, size S sold out) and the quality is gooood !
(Instashop are selling twice the price for the same skorts -_- , excluding postage)

Well, as usual.. went to cotton on to try out since they have fitting room..
and OMG I FREAKING LOVE IT.
screw slim legs, I'm able to fit my fatty legs in it.

The front.

The Back.
Gah.. sorry as it is crumpled up like that ._.

Tried a top from H&M with my skorts ;)
But I didn't buy it.

 Next purchase..

White chiffon sleeveless top
From Cotton On.
There are many tops like that at timesquare and H&M but I brought it from Cotton on cause the strap is adjustable. ._.

Next..

White Long sleeve chiffon top from timesquare
for my internship. :)

Cute turquoise/mint triangle necklace for RM12 from timesquare
this shop sells cute accessories from necklace like this to earrings and braclets (located 3rd floor of timesquare in the middle section where there's greenish 'forest-like' deco)

Next purchase..
Bodycon LBD from Cotton on.
can't believe I have to buy XXS size -___-

Woah ! I like this selfie of me on this bodycon LBD ;)
Looks like I have an athletic body due to my broad shoulder ._.
Last and not least my new Sunglasses ;)

Love this shot :D

I have to stop spending already ! !
but so many nice clothing around that is so hard to resist. ><

Especially h&m and forever 21 where they keep bringing in new arrivals

Okay. Enough of shopping.

Till then..
